NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:20AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
Lupin Ltd.(up 2.11 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.8 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.96 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.62 per cent at 18997.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 67.0 points at 22686.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 251.34 points at 74786.81.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power, Bharti Hexacom and Reliance Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ashiana Housing, D P Abhushan, Ramco Systems, Krystal Integrated and Puravankara hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Best Agrolife, Sinclairs Hotel, Keerti Knowledge, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
